This past weekend we loaded up the clan and went north for some fun out of the sun. Christopher Creek is just north and east of Payson, AZ very near the Mogollon Rim. We had a cabin right on the creek, which the week before experienced a flash flood. Nearly 16 feet of water was jamming through it as water ran down off the Rim and through the creek.
Highlights of the weekend included:
- The most expensive fish chunks ever recorded.
- Ever try filleting fish with a dull knife?
- Never put two children, a teenager, and a husband/wife team in a boat powered by a trolling motor.
- Catching fish at a hatchery is easy, fun, and not inexpensive - especially when you have to fillet your catch with a dull knife!
- No Emma, we are not there - yet!
- Annie is still too young to not have her nap.

I'm so glad you guys are blogging. I love to see your family, especially the kids (they're cuter) growing and changing. Very funny about the dull knife. Were you able to salvage any of the fish meat?
